מאות ליווי אמש (מוצ"ש) את הרב חיים יחיאל רוטמן הי"ד, שנפצע בפיגוע הטבח בבית הכנסת בשכונת הר נוף בירושלים ונפטר בשבת מפצעיו. מאז הפיגוע בכ"ה חשוון התשע"ה, אושפז הרב חיים יחיאל בבית לוינשטיין ברעננה ולאחר מכן הועבר למרכז הרפואי הרצוג בירושלים.

לפני כחודש, בעקבות קוצר נשימה ממנו סבל, הועבר למרכז הרפואי שערי צדק, שם נפטר אתמול בגיל 55, כשהוא הותיר אחריו אשה ו-11 ילדים.

אחד מבניו של רוטמן ספד לו. "כמעט שנה שלא היה לנו אב אבל לא היינו יתומים", אמר. "כמעט שנה שהמוות מסתובב בחוץ ומשחק בנו. עכשיו הוא ניצח. אבא, עכשיו אתה בשמיים. תתפלל עלינו שכל המצב הזה ייגמר ושכולנו נוכל לעמוד על הרגליים ולהמשיך את החיים".

"עברה כמעט שנה והלבבות שוב רותחים", אמר בהלוויה רב בית הכנסת, הרב יצחק מרדכי רובין. "שנה מהטבח אי אפשר לשכוח מה שראו עינינו ואי אפשר לעבור לסדר היום. שוב עלה המוות בחלוננו. כאילו אומרים לנו מהשמים 'זכור ואל תשכח'. זכור את אשר עשה לך ישמעאל. באו שני בני עוולה, טבחו וירו ומספר האלמנות עלה ל-5 ו-35 יתומים".

"אנחנו רואים איך אומות העולם מתייחסים אלינו. הם רואים את כל הדקירות והחרבות, רואים שעם ישראל מתבוסס בדם ואומרים שאנחנו מפעילים כוח מופרז. כמה מאות ק"מ מכאן טובחים יום יום באזרחים חפים מפשע ואין פוצה פה ומצפצף", הוסיף.
